Dental Hygienist

Family-owned general practice with extensive employee longevity.<br /><br />Job Description:<br /><br />As a Registered Dental Hygienist at Wood Creek Dental, you will be responsible for providing preventive dental care services to patients. You will work closely with our team of dentists, dental assistants, and support staff to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care. Your role will involve educating patients on oral hygiene practices, conducting oral health assessments, and performing various dental procedures to maintain and improve patients' oral health.<br /><br />Responsibilities:<br /><br />* Perform oral health assessments, including reviewing medical history, examining teeth and gums, and taking X-rays<br />* Develop and implement personalized dental hygiene care plans for patients based on their needs and medical history<br />* Conduct routine dental hygiene procedures, such as scaling, polishing, root planning, and fluoride treatments<br />* Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide them with personalized oral care instructions<br />* Administer local anesthesia and/or nitrous oxide sedation for patients as required<br />* Record patient dental hygiene treatments and maintain accurate and detailed patient records<br />* Collaborate with dentists and other dental professionals to discuss treatment plans and ensure proper patient care<br />* Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in dental hygiene tools and techniques to provide the best care for patients<br />* Maintain strict hygiene and sterilization protocols in accordance with industry standards and regulations<br /><br />Requirements:<br /><br />* Degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution<br />* Active state license for Dental Hygiene in SC.<br />* Strong knowledge of dental hygiene principles, practices, and procedures<br />* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills<br />* Proficiency in performing dental hygiene procedures, such as scaling, root planing, polishing, and fluoride treatments<br />* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
