Come and be a part of an amazing team!<br /><br />*JOB OPPORTUNITY*<br />The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) serves as a chairside dental assistant to the Dentist(s) or Dental Hygienist(s). Responsibilities include preparing operatory for patient treatment, taking digital dental radiographs, accurate recording and documentation of patient records, and educating patients on dental disease prevention. This position also provides emergency back-up telephone coverage, appointment scheduling and payment program documentation in front office.<br /><br />*Position is based out of Sebastopol, CA, but shifts at our Guerneville location are required. Schedule is 8:30am - 5:00pm.*<br /><br />*DUTIES*<br /><br />* Provide chairside dental assistance<br />* Setup, breakdown and disinfection of dental operatories and laboratory<br />* Complete instrument processing/sterilization<br />* Monitor and reinforce patient comfort<br />* Take and pour dental impressions<br />* Coordinate incoming and outgoing laboratory cases<br />* Take digital radiographs<br />* Track inventory control procedures and restock materials in dental operatories<br />* Document procedures in patient electronic record<br />* Maintain hand pieces, x-ray equipment, tray setups, autoclave<br />* Provide emergency back-up telephone coverage, appointment scheduling and payment program documentation in front office<br />* Facilitate and conduct visits via video technology to enhance care coordination and access to care.<br />* Assist is the adoption and implementation of new technologies and activities that improve patient care and clinic efficiencies.<br />* Promotes oral hygiene education and CAMBRA<br /><br />*EDUCATION*<br /><br />* Registered Dental Assistant License required.<br />* Coronal Polish and Sealant Certificates preferred.<br />* California Radiation Safety Certificate (X-ray license)<br />* Current BLS (CPR) certification<br /><br />*EXPERIENCE*<br /><br />* Experience in a dental office or working with a dental clinic preferred<br />* Knowledge of dental terminology is essential for effective communication with healthcare professionals.<br />* Excellent interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients and staff alike.<br />* Proficiency in using office software and electronic health record systems is beneficial.<br /><br />*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*<br /><br />* Must be able to move freely about the office and carry light loads (up to 25 pounds)<br />* Must be able to perform the physical demands of the job.<br />* Prolonged standing and/ or sitting required.<br />* Ability to interface with electronic office equipment for extended periods of time.<br /><br />_We comply with applicable federal and state civil rights laws and do not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, color, national origin, citizenship, alienage, religion, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, disability, or any other status protected by applicable laws. _<br /><br />Job Type: Full-time<br /><br />Pay: From $25.00 per hour<br /><br />Expected hours: 40 per week<br /><br />Benefits:<br />* 403(b)<br />* 403(b) matching<br />* Dental insurance<br />* Employee assistance program<br />* Flexible spending account<br />* Health insurance<br />* Life insurance<br />* Paid time off<br />* Retirement plan<br />* Vision insurance<br /><br /><br /><br />Experience:<br />* Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)<br /><br />License/Certification:<br />* Registered Dental Assistant (Preferred)<br />* X-Ray Certification (Preferred)<br /><br />Work Location: In person
