We are committed to providing accessible, high-quality psychiatric care in a supportive outpatient environment.<br /><br />Position Summary<br /><br />Katie’s Way is seeking a *part-time Psychiatrist (MD or DO)* to join our clinical team serving our *Manhattan and Junction City, Kansas* locations.<br /><br />The Psychiatrist will provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management while working collaboratively with psychiatric nurse practitioners, therapists, clinical support staff, and organizational leadership.<br /><br />We are looking for a psychiatrist who values collaboration, clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the communities we serve.<br /><br />Key Responsibilities<br /><br />* Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments.<br />* Diagnose and treat a broad range of behavioral and mental health conditions.<br />* Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.<br />* Prescribe, monitor, and manage psychiatric medications.<br />* Monitor patient response to treatment and make appropriate adjustments to the treatment plan.<br />* Collaborate with therapists, psychiatric providers, primary care providers, and other members of the patient's care team.<br />* Provide clinical consultation and guidance when appropriate.<br />* Maintain timely, accurate, and complete clinical documentation in the electronic health record.<br />* Follow applicable federal and state laws, professional standards, HIPAA requirements, and Katie’s Way policies and procedures.<br />* Participate in care coordination and clinical discussions as needed.<br />* Promote a professional, respectful, collaborative, and patient-focused clinical environment.<br /><br />Qualifications<br /><br />*Required:*<br /><br />* Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.<br />* Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program.<br />* Current or eligibility for an unrestricted Kansas medical license.<br />* Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain DEA registration.<br />* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.<br />* Ability to prescribe and manage psychiatric medications in accordance with applicable federal and Kansas requirements.<br />* Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.<br />* Commitment to collaborative and evidence-based behavioral healthcare.<br /><br />*Preferred:*<br /><br />* Board certification in Psychiatry.<br />* Experience in outpatient behavioral health.<br />* Experience treating military service members, veterans, and/or military families.<br />* Experience treating conditions including depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, ADHD, and other common psychiatric conditions.<br />* Experience working within an interdisciplinary behavioral health team.<br />* Familiarity with TRICARE and military-connected patient populations.<br /><br />Schedule<br /><br />This is a *part-time position*.
