This role is ideal for a skilled clinician who is passionate about psychological assessment, diagnostic clarification, and collaborative, whole-person care. The Psychologist will work closely with clinical, medical, and support staff to help improve outcomes for the individuals and families we serve.<br /><br />Work location is in the beautiful mountain-lakes area of northeast Alabama.<br /><br />*Salary is Negotiable and not in a listed Pay Grade*<br /><br />*CERTIFIED COMMUNITY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CLINIC*<br /><br />Summary of Responsibilities<br /><br />The Psychologist is a highly skilled and responsible professional position focused primarily on psychological assessment, diagnostic evaluation, and interdisciplinary collaboration at Mountain Lakes Behavioral Healthcare.<br /><br />This role emphasizes high-quality psychological testing, diagnostic clarification, and active participation as part of the interdisciplinary team. The Psychologist collaborates closely with clinical, medical, and support integrated, whole-person care.<br /><br />---<br /><br />Key Responsibilities<br /><br />Psychological Assessment:<br /><br />· Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning<br /><br />· Utilize standardized assessment tools for diagnostic clarification (e.g., ADHD, mood disorders, personality functioning)<br /><br />· Prepare clear, integrated reports and provide feedback to clients, families, and the treatment team<br /><br />Consultation and Collaboration:<br /><br />· Serve as a key clinical resource within a interdisciplinary team<br /><br />· Collaborate with medical professionals, case managers, and clinical staff to ensure integrated and holistic care<br /><br />· Participate in case consultations and interdisciplinary team meetings<br /><br />Crisis Intervention:<br /><br />· Provide immediate psychological support during crises, including conducting suicide or self-harm risk assessments.<br /><br />· Collaborate with crisis response teams to stabilize clients and create safety plans.<br /><br />Documentation and Compliance:<br /><br />· Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) and regulatory standards.<br /><br />· Ensure adherence to ethical guidelines, state licensing requirements, and organizational protocols.<br /><br />Advocacy and Client Support:<br /><br />· Support access to services and resources for clients<br /><br />· Provide psychoeducation to enhance understanding and engagement in care<br /><br />Specialized Services (as applicable):<br /><br />· Provide specialized services such as neuropsychological testing, forensic evaluations, or behavioral assessments for developmental disorders (if within scope of training).<br /><br />· Support specific populations, including veterans, children, or individuals with co-occurring disorders, based on clinic needs.<br /><br />---<br /><br />Supervision<br /><br />This position does not involve direct line supervision of staff but receives supervision and guidance from the Assistant Clinical Director.<br /><br />---<br /><br />Required Qualifications<br /><br />· Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology.<br /><br />· Licensed Psychologist in compliance with Alabama law.<br /><br />---<br /><br />Salary Grade<br /><br />This is a non-graded position.
