Dental Hygienist

The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dentist to ensure optimal patient outcomes and contribute to a positive patient experience.<br /><br />*Responsibilities*<br /><br />* Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients.<br />* Take and document vital signs, medical imaging, and other diagnostic information as needed.<br />* Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.<br />* Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies.<br />* Implement aseptic techniques and infection control measures to ensure a safe environment.<br />* Review documentation and assist with medical coding as required.<br />* Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in dental technology.<br />* Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care and clinic efficiency.<br /><br />*Requirements*<br /><br />* Proven experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred.<br />* Familiarity with Softdent software is highly desirable.<br />* Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.<br />* Strong understanding of medical terminology and documentation review processes.<br />* Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.<br />* Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.<br />* Certification in infection control practices is preferred.
