*Job Title:  Psychiatrist*<br /><br />*Location:* Weaverville, CA<br /><br />*Term:* 6 Months<br /><br />*Schedule*: On-call; fill in when the regularly scheduled psychiatrist has a conflict<br /><br />*Start Date*: ASAP<br /><br />*Case Commitment*: Approximately 12–20 hours per case<br /><br />*Compensation:* $315/hour<br /><br />Astrya Global is seeking a Psychiatrist to provide Incompetence to Stand Trial (IST) evaluations and related psychiatric services in an on-call capacity. The psychiatrist will provide coverage as needed when the regularly scheduled psychiatrist is unavailable or has a scheduling conflict.<br /><br />*Benefits for a Psychiatrist:*<br /><br />* Weekly Pay: $315/hour<br />* Malpractice Insurance<br />* Full-service credentialing and licensing department<br />* Dedicated corporate travel team with airfare, car rental and hotel booking<br />* Referral Bonus up to $5,000<br /><br />*Qualifications of a Psychiatrist:*<br /><br />* MD or DO with an active California medical license.<br />* Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.<br />* Active PAVE registration is required.<br />* Experience conducting competency evaluations, forensic psychiatry assessments, or working with justice-involved populations preferred.<br />* Ability to provide on-site services in Weaverville, California.<br />* Strong clinical documentation and communication skills.<br /><br />*Duties/Responsibilities of a Psychiatrist:*<br /><br />* Conduct psychiatric evaluations related to Incompetence to Stand Trial.<br />* Assess individuals' mental health, cognitive functioning, and competency-related needs.<br />* Prepare thorough clinical evaluations and documentation.<br />* Provide professional opinions and recommendations regarding competency to stand trial.<br />* Collaborate with legal, clinical, and facility staff as appropriate.<br />* Complete approximately 12–20 hours of work per case, depending on case needs.<br />* Provide coverage on an as-needed basis during the 26-week contract.<br /><br />Astrya Global Medical Staffing is a San Diego California-based medical staffing agency certified by both the Joint Commission and National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations.
