Your dedication to education and preventive care will help patients achieve healthier smiles while fostering a positive experience at every visit.<br /><br />*Responsibilities*<br /><br />* Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.<br />* Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.<br />* Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to promote lifelong dental health.<br />* Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.<br />* Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office policies.<br />* Follow infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment for all procedures.<br /><br />*Qualifications*<br /><br />* Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice.<br />* Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft for documentation review and record keeping.<br />* Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control standards.<br />* Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse age groups.
