Crossroads Care Center of Pewaukee is currently looking to add dedicated and professional Medication Assistants (Med-Techs) to our strong and dependable nursing team.All Medication Assistants must be CNA Certified and have passed the Medication Assistant program through the state of Wisconsin.Shift Times:Day Shift – 06:00-14:30
Evening Shift – 14:00-22:30 $3.00/hr Shift Diff
Noc Shift – 22:00-06:30
Job Description:
Follow current standards of hygiene, safety, and infection control when handling, storing, and disposing of medications.
Take and record vital sings upon administration of medications when required
Recognized the residents right to refuse medication.
Notifies the appropriate RN/LPN when making the decision not to administer medication or treatment.
Clarifies any order or treatment regimen believed to be inaccurate, ineffective, or contraindicated by consulting with the appropriate licensed nurse (RN/LPN)
Monitors residents who self-administer medications and report deviation from the plan of care to the licensed nurse (RN/LPN)
Secured Medication Card
Removed Discontinued, outdated, or deteriorated drugs from inventory.
Recognizes and reports unsafe conditions for medication provision.
Accurately documents medication provision.
Recognizes and reports general reactions to medications
