Located in the vibrant University City of Cambridge, Springbank Ward at Fulbourn Hospital provides exceptional career development opportunities in the recovery focused care of adults experiencing difficulties associated with a diagnosis of Borderline personality Disorder.

We are currently looking to recruit experienced, enthusiastic and motivated a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant to join our team, in providing an innovative and forward thinking service as we continue to develop and improve our award winning inpatient service.

The post holder will provide support and care for service users with mental and physical health needs and to their carers within a multidisciplinary setting.

They will undertake assigned tasks under the general supervision of a registered nurse, including assisting in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.

The post holder will be trained to ensure that issues of equality, diversity and rights are dealt with in accordance with good practice and legislation.

The post holder with assist in facilitating the ward programme inclusive of

facilitating groups and therapeutic activities. The post holder will undertake Senior Health Care Assistant duties and support of Junior staff.

You may be required to undertake and successfully complete the new national Care Certificate within a 12 weeks’ timeframe if you meet our criteria. You will receive full training and support and The Care Certificate sets out 15 national care standards that must be achieved by all health and social care staff to demonstrate that they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide safe and excellent quality of care.
