We’re looking for someone to join our team as aSurgery Schedulerwho:
OB-GYN Surgery Scheduler is responsible for the coordination, processing, and scheduling of OB-GYN surgeries including obtaining prior authorizations for a variety of medical services/procedures for patients as requested by the primary care physician. As an integral member of the healthcare team, the OB-GYN Surgery Scheduler works closely with patients, medical providers, nursing staff, and other patient care support staff to ensure patients receive specialty services timely and efficiently in alignment with department of health care guidelines.
Essential Functions:
Schedule, problem solve, communicate, and coordinate OB-GYN surgery referral appointments with local hospitals.
Track and enter all OB-GYN Surgery Scheduling status in the EHR.
Possesses excellent customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task
Documents in the patient’s electronic health records (EHR) all communication with patient regarding surgery process.
Verifies insurance and processes information for requested OB-GYN surgery.
Evaluate OBGYN surgery referrals based on medical necessity and managed care rules.
Produce accurate reports as requested by management.

You’ll be successful with the following qualifications:
Minimum 18 years of age.
High School Diploma or GED
Intermediate computer skills required.
Must adhere to Clinica Sierra Vista’s employee health/immunization requirements or provide a valid exemption request for subsequent approval.
