Position OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic Administrative Assistant to join our team and contribute to the achievement of excellence in healthcare delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the unit’s mission by providing administrative assistance to physicians and staff.

Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills in interactions with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Manage physician schedules efficiently, balancing appointments and meetings effectively.

Coordinate calendar management and mail preparation for physicians.

Process disability forms within designated timeframes.

Communicate professionally with various stakeholders, including patients, physicians, and external agencies.

Handle incoming calls promptly and courteously.

Facilitate appointment scheduling and obtain necessary authorizations.

Assist with peer-to-peer requests and serve as backup for appointment scheduling.

Maintain accurate records in computer databases.

Complete FMLA, disability, and insurance forms as required.

Collect payments and obtain authorizations for diagnostic tests.

Coordinate communication between physicians and patients regarding care needs.

Participate in departmental activities, including performance improvement initiatives and staff meetings.

RequirementsProficient knowledge of medical terminology.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Accurate data entry skills with attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and EMR systems.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Handling of confidential information with discretion.

Commitment to professionalism in all interactions.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

1-3 Years Of Medical Office Experience Preferred.Excellent spelling and typing skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
