Your Role With Us:

In this role, your exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate in a positive, professional manner are needed to provide support to scheduling imaging appointments in a call center environment with the opportunity to work remote. You will also be responsible for obtaining accurate financial information for insurance processes. As a Patient Access Specialist I, you must have a basic level of understanding related to medical terminology and anatomy to appropriately obtain, interpret, and communicate necessary medical information, medical history, lab results, diagnostic testing, allergies, and medications to Medical Providers. You must demonstrate the ability to understand and interrupt ICD-10 and CPT coding.

Background/Expertise:

GED, high school graduate or above preferred.
Minimum of one (1) year appointment scheduling. Healthcare related preferred.
Keyboarding at 45 wpm.
Basic understanding of Medical Terminology and billing codes (ICD-10, CPT) preferred.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
Exceptional customer service skills

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Intermediate understanding with contractual nature of HMO and/or PPO insurance plans, Medicare and Medicaid, commercial, workers compensation and other third party payers preferred.
