Busy Dermatology practice in Summerlin looking for a reliable, energetic individual with an upbeat & friendly personality, positive attitude, & good patient rapport / bedside manner to join our back office team. Modernizing Medicine EMMA EHR experience is a plus.
Job Duties to Include (but are not limited to):
*Rooming patients
*Set-up for/assist with exam &/or surgery
*Rx / ERx
*Administer injections
*Proper documentation/labeling of specimens & lab slips for pathology/histology
*Administer Laser/light treatments
*Clean & stock exam rooms & supplies
*Take patient phone calls & contact patients with pathology results
*Schedule surgery
*Chart notation / Modernizing Medicine EMMA EHR
*Prior authorizations
*Utilize iPledge Program (for Rx Accutane)
*Phlebotomy a plus
*Travel to satellite location in Boulder City every other weekmay be required
Job Requirements:
*Medical Assisting Certificate
*1 year of back office medical assisting experience. Dermatology a plus
*Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment & under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
*Must be able to multi-task
*Must be receptive to constructive criticism
*Must interact well with patients, co-workers, management, physicians, & vendors
*Must be able to speak, read, write, & type quickly, clearly & neatly
*Must be detail oriented & organized
*High school diploma/GED
*Bilingual a plus, but not required
