Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Verifications Specialist to join our team. As a Verifications Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing for medical services. Your expertise in pre-visit insurance verification, surgical authorizations, and pre-authorizations is vital to our organization and maximizing our revenue.
Duties:
– Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures through various portals and telephone verification.
– Submit claims in a timely manner through EHR/PM System
– Collect payments, Check-In, Check-Out at the Front Desk
– Assist in the telephone cue and triage patients
– Assist in revenue cycle by calling clients about delinquent payments
– Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations
Skills:
– Proficient in medical terminology, coding systems ( ICD-10), and billing processes
– Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately review and analyze medical records
– Familiarity with medical office procedures and workflows
– Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
– Strong communication skills to interact with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers
– Knowledge of medical collection practices and strategies
