The RoleThe successful candidate will carry out duties involving direct patient care as delegated by the registered nurse. The post holder will ensure a person centred approach to care delivery which is safe and effective to ensure and maintain quality strategy. You will a key role in the support of registered staff ensuring a high standard of clinical care is delivered. You will provide patient care in support of the registered nurse to ensure delivery of a high quality of patient care and report any variations to the normal.

What We’ll Need You To Bring

Knowledge of personal care and related procedures or previous volunteer or work experience in a health, education or social environment.

Required to undertake on the job training and induction

Undertake mandatory HCSW standards

Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment.

Working knowledge of basic information technology.

It would be great if you also have

SVQ2 in health care or working towards this.

Evidence of continuous professional development

Training in physical health checks in areas such as blood pressure monitoring / venepuncture

Experience of direct one to one care

Experience working in health care role/setting

Previous experience working with people in a community/acute hospital setting

Required to be flexible in post

Aware of current developments in community care

Contract type

Permanent

Part Time

22.5 hours

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.

Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based in Treatment Room/Phlebotomy within Coatbridge Health Centre

The working pattern for this role will be confirmed by hiring manager.
