Food Service Assistant

Broughton Hospital is accepting applications for full-time Food Service Assistants to work 40 hours per week.

The Food Service Assistant is primarily responsible for serving foods, minor food preparation, and cleaning all stations within Nutritional Services. This position is also the backup for the covering the Employee’s Café. Various vacant positions.

Responsibilities Include:
Operating wash ware dish machines
Maintaining high standards of sanitation
Perform moderately heavy physical labor for extended periods of time
The normal working hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. or 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., including some weekends and holidays; however, flexibility with work schedule is required to meet training requirements and hospital needs.

This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.

Salary Grade: NC01
Recruitment Range: $31,200 – $45,622

Broughton Hospital operates 382 beds and is one of the three regional psychiatric hospitals with statutory responsibility for operating as part of the Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities (DSOHF). With the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, we provide help and support to North Carolinians, and their families, experiencing mental illness. Our hospital serves the western thirty-seven (37) counties of North Carolina, as part of the state’s system of care and treatment for persons with mental illness.
